"Chimpanzee" Makes for a Great Earth Day-Themed Outing!

A wonderfully, sweet movie by DisneyNature. The movie follows a clan of chimpanzees around their territory in the jungle and focuses on a young chimp named Oscar. As we were watching him discover and try new things, I kept being reminded of my own infant child.

We were further entertained by Tim Allen's narration. At first, I could've done with out his voice, but then realized it definitely helped move along the movie and explain things to us. The images were so amazing, making it feel at times that we were really there observing these creatures in their natural habitat, where I even wanted to get my camera out and take a picture!

I had been worried about having to watch graphic and violent scenes amongst the chimpanzees, but they did a good job cutting all that stuff out. Probably because it was made by DisneyNature. I would say that this movie is good for ages 5 and up. It's just over an hour long.
